Associate Coach: Darren Webster
Tonight’s Matchup: vs the Nighthawks: The Stampeders proved to many doubters that they can hang with the “Big Boys” with a huge 2-1 shootout win last night on home ice. Swan will need to bring that same intensity tonight against a Nighthawks team that can bring it. Staying out of the penalty box and playing their game is key to a victory in their second-last home game of the regular season.
Last Game: 2-1 shootout win over Steinbach: Swan Valley played a near-perfect game last night at the Centennial Arena, defeating the league’s second-best team 2-1 in a shootout. Owen Harris scored the Stampeders’ only goal during regulation while Myles Mason and Josh Danis scored highlight-reel goals in the shootout. Kobe Grant was sensational, stopping 33/34 shots, plus two shooters in the shootout to claim their 33rd win of the season.

Last Game: 5-1 loss to OCN: The Nighthawks thought they could jump on the OCN Blizzard who has sat idle for the past week. That didn’t work and ended up dropping a 5-1 decision to kick off their road trip. OCN scored early, and often to keep pace in the MGEU West Division claiming their 31st win of the season.
