Tonight’s Matchup: vs the OCN Blizzard:  The Stampeders enter tonight’s contest one point back of second and just three points back of first place in the MGEU West Division. One thing the Stamps’ have going for them is games in hand. Swan Valley sits with three games in hand on the Blizzard with just 11 games left in the season. The Stampeders have picked up points in four out of their last five games and positioned themselves well heading into this week of action. Swan Valley will need to limit the man advantages against tonight against a team that can bury you while on the power play. 

Last Game: 3-0 win over Winkler:  The Stampeders found a way to win this past week, going 3-0 and closing the gap on first in the MGEU West Division. Swan Valley started the game flat Sunday afternoon, giving up 22 shots in the first period. Trey Sauder, Landen Gulutzan and Warren Marcotte all found the back of the net during the second period and from there, it was the Kobe Grant show. Grant turned aside all 47 shots he faced, picking up his second shutout of the season and 18th win of the year in a 3-0 victory.

Tonight’s Matchup: vs Swan: The OCN Blizzard head into tonight’s contest, winners of their last five games and sit atop the MGEU West Division with 61 points. The Blizzard are coming off a perfect 3-0 road trip down south this past weekend and are looking to increase their lead in the standings. Look for the trio of Ashton Paul, Riley Zimmerman and Michael Hlady to be go-to factors in the game. 

Last Game: 4-0 win over the WPG Freeze: The Blizzard closed out their weekend road trip with a fairly easy win Sunday in Winnipeg, downing the freeze 4-0. Kieran Cooke and Ashton Paul scored in the first period and Ashton Cuvelier and Sam Zagari added a pair in the third on-route to their 28th win of the season. Ethan Farrow stopped all 23 shots he faced in the win.
