IG Wealth Management Game Day Report

Swan Valley Stampeders Regular Season Record: 10-7-1-1. PP: 19.4% (6th) PK: 75.6% (13th) Rank: 5th in the MGEU West Division, 8th in MJHL

Head Coach: Barry Wolff

Assistant Coach: Dakota Mason

Assistant Coach: Darren Webster

Tonight’s Matchup: vs the Winnipeg Blues: Swan Valley is coming off a 6-4 loss on the road against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines this past Tuesday. Prior to that, the Stampeders earned a four-game win streak, prevailing in every one of those games by one goal. Swan Valley has found a way to score on the man advantage lately, but can’t seem to keep the puck out of their own net while killing penalties. Swan Valley will need to do a better job of staying out of the box later this afternoon if they want to return to the win column.

Last Game: 6-4 loss to Waywayseecappo: The Stampeders’ late start to games caught up to them Tuesday night in Wayway. That and taking untimely penalties against a team that can bury you on the man advantage. Wayway scored early, and often to push their win streak to three games, while Swan’s four-game win streak was snapped at the hands of the Wolverines.

Tonight’s Matchup: vs Swan: The Blues are coming off a tough loss on the road last night and will be looking for a big two points on home ice this afternoon. The Blues have struggled this season, similar to the Stampeders, moving up and down the divisional ranks. It’s not for a lack of effort by both teams; they are just having some trouble piecing together wins in a row. Look for an exciting game as both teams need to find a way to return to the win column.
