The IG Wealth Management Game Three Report vs the Dauphin Kings

The best-of-seven, quarter-final series between the Swan Valley Stampeders and the Dauphin Kings shifts back to the Valley for Game 3 tonight at the Centennial Arena.

Swan Valley enters tonight’s contest up 2-0 in the series and will look to push the Kings to the brink of elimination on home ice.

Both teams duked it out in Dauphin Saturday night, scoring 11 combined goals throughout the game. The Stampeders converted on four power plays in the second period to take a 5-4 lead into the third period. Both teams traded goals in the third period but, it was Collin Jennings’ hat-trick goal with just under three minutes to play that helped the Stampeders win an all-important road game last Saturday.

Kobe Grant stopped 29/34 shots he faced throughout the game and came up clutch in the dying moment of the third period to help his team earn the win. Look for the 20-year-old netminder to continue his solid post-season play tonight at the Centennial Arena.
