The Swan Valley Junior A Stampeders Board of Directors would like to announce the resignation of Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff from the organization, effective immediately.
Wolff has been a key member of the Stampeders’ staff since the 2018-19 season, leading the team in their very best on-ice performance to date. During his time with the team, he has increased player involvement in the community, developed and advanced numerous players, and strengthened the Stampeders organization in countless ways.
“We would like to thank Barry for his dedication to the Stampeders over the past six years,” said Stampeders President Evan Morden. “He has led the team through some difficult times and proven his dedication and commitment to the organization over and over again. “We wish him nothing but the best going forward.”
Wolff expressed his gratitude for his time spent with the team and in the Valley. “Thank you to the Swan Valley community, the Stampeders Hockey Club, all the players, the minor hockey organization and for the corporate and community support,” he said. “It was truly an amazing time and I wish you all the best.”
Assistant Coach Darren Webster has stepped into the role of Interim General Manager while Assistant Coach Brad Fox is now acting as Interim Head Coach.
