Stampeders Sign A Pair Prior To The January 10 Deadline

The Swan Valley Stampeders made a couple of moves ahead of the January 10, 2022 trade deadline.

Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff announced that the club has signed 20-year-old Forward Nic Roussel for the remainder of the season. Roussel, a product of Maple Ridge, BC, has been with the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL for the past two seasons playing in 36 games. The 5’11” 185 lbs forward was a part of the leadership group in Trail and will be an asset for the Stampeders moving forward.

Wolff also announced that the Stampeders have signed 19-year-old Forward Deepkaran Hans. The 6’1” 159 lbs Surrey, BC native comes to Swan Valley from the Langley Rivermen of the BCHL. Prior to that, Hans played for the Delta Hockey Academy U18 Prep of the CSSHL and dressed in five games with the Powell River Kings of the BCHL collecting one goal.

We want to welcome both Nic Roussel and Deepkaran Hans, and their families, to the Stampeder organization.
