The Manitoba Junior Hockey League handed out their monthly awards Wednesday October 3rd and the Swan Valley Stampeders goaltender Michael Davis was awarded the MGEU-MJHL Goaltender of the Month. The 19 year old who hails from St.Albert, Alberta went 3-0 in the month of September picking up a shutout, posting a 1.67 GAA and a save percentage of .937.
Two other notable Stampeder names were mentioned in the MJHL honours. 20 year old forward Josh Tripp of the Swan Valley Stampeders was named runner up for the RBC Player of the Month and 20 year old Defenceman Quintin Sudom was named runner up for the Telus Defenceman of the month.
