Stampeders Acquire Zhong

The Swan Valley Stampeders have aquired 1998 Defencemen Jun Yi Zhong from the Red Lake Miners of the SIJHL. The 6’2′ 195 lbs native of Surrey BC, plays a hard nosed, high end compete style of game.

“We wanted to add some more fire and compete on our back end,” said Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff. “Zhong is a strong skater with a good shot, and a good first pass and as always in order to get a good player you have to give up a good player.”

Going to Red Lake Miners of the SIJHL, from the Stampeders is 1999 Forward Morgan Venne. Venne played in 11 games with the Stampeders scoring 1 goal and adding 2 assists.

“Venne is a good offensive player and even a better person,” says Wolff.

The Stampeders wish Morgan and the Gold Miners the very best of Luck.
