Stampeders Dropped 10th Straight Game, Fall 7-1 To The Dauphin Kings Tuesday Night

The Swan Valley Stampeders dropped their 10th straight game Tuesday night in Dauphin, falling 7-1 to the Kings at Credit Union Place.

The Stampeders had some new faces in the lineup tonight as the injury bug and a suspension held out Ethan Lintner, Linden Perry, Landen Gulutzan and Darius Makse. Makse was suspended two games for his third minor goaltender interference penalty of the season. He is eligible to return to the lineup Wednesday Feb. 28 against the same Dauphin Kings on home ice. Cash Clarkson, Cade Legaarden and Ethan McMullan got their first taste of MJHL action during tonight’s game while Tavyn Boychuk suited up for his third game.

The Kings used three straight power play goals by Rylan Gibbs (5:55) and Jordan Bax (10:50) of the first period while Gabriel Bugeaud scored his 54 seconds into the second period. Darren Hunt answered back for the Stampeders, scoring his third of the season, on the power play, at 10:03 of the second period.

Naaman Hofer added his fifth of the season 1:27 into the third period, Aidan Murray collected his third of the season at 17:13 and Gabriel Bugeaud added his second of the night at 17:57, Charlie Sandven scored a power play marker at 19:30 and the Kings skated to a 7-1 win on home ice Tuesday night.
