The Swan Valley Stampeders dropped their eighth straight game, falling 4-2 to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines Friday night at the Centennial Arena.
The Wolverines used their speed and constant pressure to gain their sixth straight win on the road Friday night.
Aidan Herring collected his sixth of the season, opening the scoring on a nifty deflection 4:33 into the first period. Riley Fequet answered back for the Stampeders, sending a cheeky wrist-shot on net that beat Jase Wareham with just over three minutes to play in the opening frame.
The Wolverines collected three straight goals in the second period to take a 4-1 lead into the third period.
Matthew Munro added a power play goal at 4:41 but it wasn’t enough as the Stampeders fell 4-2.
