MJHL Announces League Postponement Until January

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League has announced that, due to the current COVID-19 situation in the province and the elevated Critical (Red) status, the 2020-21 season will be put on hold until the New Year.

We, like all teams in the MJHL, are disappointed by the news but, in saying that, our priority is the health and safety of our players, staff, fans and our community. With the continually rising COVID-19 numbers we feel this is the right decision at this time and we fully support the league and its board of governors.

We would like to thank our fans and corporate sponsors for their continued support. We know that this season has been far from ‘business as usual’ and we appreciate your patience and understanding with the continuous changes. We look forward to the return of hockey once it is safe to do so and we hope to see you all at the Centennial Arena at that time.

In the meantime, we hope you will continue to support our organization to ensure we will have the financial means to return to the ice not only this season but for years to come. There are currently two ways to do so:
1.       Get online and purchase your Stampeders merchandise today! Through our current pre-sale you will find a variety of sweatshirts, long sleeve shirts, hoodies and jackets for every fan on your Christmas list. These items will only be available until Nov. 15 so hurry and get your order in.
Then, check back in the next few weeks as new items like t-shirts, touques an hats are on order and will up for purchase! Visit The Stall online at http://www.stampedershockey.square.site
2.       Watch for our annual Holiday Cash Lotto where you could have the chance at a grand prize worth $20,000. These tickets should be available for purchase from any board member later this month and also make great Christmas gift.

See you all at the rink in 2021!
