Richardson Pioneer Preseason Game Report

The Swan Valley Stampeders skated to a 5-1 victory over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines Sunday afternoon.

The Stampeder offence was lead by Justin McKnight (1G, 2A) while Linden Storebo and Lucas Sadownyk each collected a goal and an assist and Owen Warnick and Amar Power each scored a goal. Scott Thompson and William Forrester split an 18 save win in net.

Swan Valley jumped out to a 1-0 at 11:50 of the opening frame as Power beat Gavin Pomeroy for his first of the preseason. McKnight added to the Stampeders lead nearly four minutes later, scoring on the power play at 15:44.

Waywayseecappo answered back in second period, cutting the lead to just one heading into the third period.

It was all Swan Valley in the third period, scoring three goals Storebo, Warnick and Sadownyk to claim a victory on home ice Sunday afternoon.
