Stampeders Acquire Mattias Dal Monte From Merritt

The Swan Valley Stampeders have traded the CJHL Playing rights of 1999 born defenceman Troy Quinn to the Merritt Centennials of the BCHL. In exchange, the Stamps receive 2000 born D Mattias Dal Monte and future considerations.

The 6’3”, 185 pound right shot d-man hails from Nanaimo, BC and dressed in 72 games for the Centennials over the past two seasons, collecting five goals and six assists.

“Mattias is a very welcome addition to our hockey club said Head Coach and General Manager Geoff Grimwood. “He has two years of Junior A experience and brings a lot to our blue line. With the returning group of d-men we have, along with a few new veteran acquisitions along with some promising rookies, we like the makeup of our blue line.”

The Stampeders wish Troy Quinn all the best with his new organization in B.C.

At this time we want to welcome Mattias Dal Monte, and his family to the Stampeder Organization.
