Stampeders Fall 4-3 in Overtime to the Neepawa Titans Saturday Night

The Swan Valley Stampeders pushed Neepawa to overtime Saturday night but couldn’t find the extra point, losing 4-3 to the Titans.

Cody Gudnason opened the scoring 1:17 into the game collecting his first of the game and second of the year. Owen Warnick tied the game on a mad scramble out front, scoring his third of the year.

Connor Thompson gave the Titans a 2-1 lead at 8:16 of the second period and Gudnason added his second of the night at 8:17 of the third period. Darius Makse scored his fourth of the year at 18:08 and Jakob Jones scored with 42 seconds left, forcing overtime gaining a much needed point for the home squad.

Despite a couple of really good scoring chances in overtime, it was the Titans who found the extra point as Ewan Poirier scored at 3:46 of the extra frame.
