Stampeders Fall 5-1 Wednesday Night, Now Sit 1-7 On The Season

The Swan Valley Stampeders fell yet again on home ice, this time losing 5-1 to the Virden Oil Capitals in front of a very small crowd.

The Stampeders did a decent job in the first period to keep things close, and that led to the games first goal. Aidan Taylor found himself in front of the net, deflecting home a point shot at 10:48 on the power play. The Oil Capitals settled in after that and scored five straight goals on route to a 5-1 win in Swan River.

Swan Valley – 22

Swan will regroup and take their game on the road this weekend with stops in Portage Friday night at 7:30pm and Saturday night in Winkler.
