Stampeders Lose in Double-OT, Trail Steinbach 3-0 in their Best-of-Seven Series

Swan River, MB – The Swan Valley Stampeders failed to climb back into the series Tuesday night, falling 3-2 in double overtime and now trail 3-0 in their best-of-seven, quarter final series against the Steinbach Pistons

The story

Jakob Jones opened the scoring for the Stampeders Tuesday night, tucking one past Dominik Wasik at 16:07 of the first period.

Scoring would resume in the second as Noah Wilson found a streaking Alex Walicki and he beat Wasik with a wrist shot at 5:18 of the middle frame.

Unfortunately that was it for the Stampeder offence Tuesday night as the Pistons scored two goals to tie the game and send it to overtime. Dawson Milliken would become the overtime hero, scoring at 10:06 of the second overtime giving the Pistons a commanding 3-0 series lead.
