Stamps’ Snap Wayway’s Four Game Win Streak

Swan Valley snaps Wayway’s win streak at four games with a 4-1 win on home ice Friday night.

Frazer Dodd has been red hot as of late. The twenty-year-old opened the scoring tonight on the power play, beating Liam Tereposky at 7:23 of the first. Nathan Carl has a hot stick as well, scoring his fifth of the year less than two minutes later and the Stampeders held a 2-0 lead after twenty minutes of play.

Tyler Leibl cut into the Stampeders lead at the 12 minute mark of the middle frame, letting a shot go just inside the blue line that handcuffed Michael Davis.

Luke Beerman would regain the Stamps’ two goal lead, tapping home a beautiful cross ice pass by Carter Cockburn at 14:12 of the third period. Captain Leyson Coleman would seal the deal, scoring into an empty net at 19:40 and the Stampeders increased their win streak to two games.

The Stampeders now sit with a 3-1 record after tonight’s 4-1 win on home ice against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines. Swan Valley will now hit the road for two games in Winnipeg at this years MJHL Showcase. The Stamps’ will face Dauphin, Monday September 30, at 6pm and will then face the Winnipeg Blues at 5pm on Tuesday October 1st. The next home action will be Friday October 4th, which is a presentation of Chicken Chef.
