Star and Times Game Day Report

Halloween Game Day report brought to you by the Star and Times.

After last nights lack-lustre effort by the Swan Valley Stampeders, they look to rebound tonight in Waywayseecappo.

Since it’s Halloween here are a few scary stats the Stamps’ need correct before they hit the ice tonight.

Goals against – 14 in the last three games – 5 last night.

Who has been scoring on them? Mackenzie Belinski and Rayman Bassi. Belinski put up four points alone last night while Bassi scored twice for the Wolverines.

Penalty minutes – 7 minors and 4 majors.

Some very spooky, interesting stats heading into tonight’s game.

Newcomer Brad Fortin certainly came to play last night, scoring twice on Liam Tereposky who wasn’t tested very often. Swan Valley only directed 23 shots on net, and seemed to be behind the eight ball all night. Fortin’s two goal performance last night earned him the second star of the game.

Waywayseecappo also inserted a pair of WHL’ers into their lineup last night. Chad Nychuk and Cole Muir. Nychuk picked up a goal, while Muir was held off the score sheet, though was ejected for fighting in the third period.

Sifting through the penalties after a massive weather dispute late in the game last night, both teams will be without a pair of players tonight. Jackson Betcher and Jayce Nikbakht will sit for the Stampeders while Colby Wolter and Leyton Smith will sit for the Wolverines. Expect to see a different lineup for both teams tonight.
