Swan River Local Cracks Opening Night Roster

Like many young hockey players growing up in Swan River, Quinn Munro dreamed of one day playing with the Stampeders.  This season, Quinn will get that chance.

Quinn’s consistent play during the pre-season has earned him the back-up role to returning starter, Brett Evans.  In spite of some very capable competition at camp, Munro’s consistent play through out the exhibition season earned him a leg up on the competition.

When asked about the added pressures of being a hometown player, Quinn was quick to point out that “Yes there is some added pressure of playing in your hometown.  But coming to play in a rink you have been playing in all of your life, is somewhere he I am very comfortable.”

Coach White had the following to say “Quinn has been consistent since camp began.  Not only was I impressed with Quinn’s compete through out camp, I was more impressed with his character and behaviour as a young man.  He is a respectful human being and has a bright outlook on life.”

The Stampeders season kicks off Saturday night in OCN, with the home opener on October 4th vs. the Waywayseecappo Wolverines. Hope to see you there!
