Swan Valley Star and Times Game Day Report

The Swan Valley Stampeders will finish off their 2021/22 MJHL Regular Season tonight against the Dauphin Kings at Credit Union Place.

The Stampeders are coming off an embarrassing 7-3 loss to the Kings last night but good news did come from an evening of pain. The Stampeders were able to gain an X by their name in the standings which means they have officially punched their ticket to the MJHL Playoffs.  This marks the fourth year in a row, (not including the cancelled 2020/21 season), that the Stampeders have made it to the dance and will need to find a way quickly to beat the Dauphin Kings.

Tonight’s game is already sold out as it is Ukrainian night at the Credit Union Place with several items to keep the fans entertained. We are honored to be the visiting team in such a tremendous evening.

Head Coach and General Manager Barry Wolff made some changes to his lineup ahead of tonight’s game in Dauphin. Cody Barnes, Adam Ward and Cole Chauvette all draw back into the lineup while Myles Mason, Trey Sauder and Jayden Mosiondz will be scratched. MJHL Rookie Team All-Star Goaltender Dylan Black will get the start in net.

More to come after the game.
