The Swan Valley Stampeders offence dried up Saturday night in Dauphin, losing their second consecutive game to the Kings at Credit Union Place.
Swan Valley came out flying in the opening frame, holding their own against the Dauphin Kings in the opening ten minutes of play. It was back-to-back penalties that broke the camels back. Brayden Dube collected his 22nd of the year on the power play at 14:43 of the first period.
The score remained 1-0 until the 5:08 mark of the third period where Parker Malchuk was left alone and he beat Dylan Black for his tenth of the year. Owen Wareham scored from the point at 8:03 and Garrett Hrechka gave the Kings a 4-0 lead at 12:29 of the third period. Cody Barnes was able to snap Carson Cherepak’s shutout with less than five minutes to play but it wasn’t enough and the Kings skated to back-to-back wins against Swan Valley.
