IG Wealth Management Game Day Report
Swan Valley Stampeders Regular Season Record: 18-9-1-1. PP: 19.6% (6th) PK: 75% (12th) Rank: 1st in the MGEU West Division, 4th in MJHL
Head Coach: Barry Wolff
Assistant Coach: Dakota Mason
Assistant Coach: Darren Webster
Tonight’s Matchup: vs the Kings: The Stampeders are coming off a huge win on home ice Friday night, defeating the Virden Oil Capitals 2-1 in overtime and pushing their record to 18-9-1-1. The Stampeders are red hot and playing some of their best hockey as of late. Swan Valley has a chance to do something not many Stampeder teams have accomplished this afternoon, that being a seven game win streak. The last time the team did that was in October 2018, the year team went on their epic playoff run. Swan will need all four lines and a full 60 minute effort in order to defeat a team that is hungry for wins.
Last Game: 2-1 OT win over Virden: The Stampeders pushed their win streak to a season high six games with a 2-1 overtime win against the Oil Capitals. Warren Marcotte tied the game, 56 seconds into the middle frame, Kobe Grant stopped 20/21 shots he faced and Jakob Jones played hero once again, scoring with 10.8 seconds left in the extra frame.

Tonight’s Matchup: vs Swan: The Dauphin Kings have been hit and miss, struggling to find consistency this season. The Kings sit fourth in the MGEU Standings and have gone 2-3 in their last five games. Staying out of the penalty box and limiting Swans quick strike offence will be the key to success this afternoon at Credit Union Place.
Last Game: 4-1 win over Winnipeg Freeze: The Dauphin Kings scored once in the first, once in the second, and closed out the third period with a pair of goals as they skated to a 4-1 win Friday night in Winnipeg. Marko Belak picked up his sixth win of the season, stopping 29/30.
