Tonight’s Matchup: vs the Oil Capitals: Your MGEU West Division Champions will be looking to close out the regular season with their ninth straight win against a great opponent, the Virden Oil Capitals. The Stampeders will need to limit their trips to the penalty box tonight at the Centennial Arena against a team that can score goals. The red-hot Stampeders will look to enter the playoffs on a high note tonight. 

Last Game: 6-3 win over Oil Capitals: Swan Valley heard the hype, and blocked it last night out as they travelled to Virden last night to take on Oil Capitals. The Stampeders used five different goal scorers on-route to a 6-3 win against a team that was right behind them in the Standings. Callum Halls, Griffin Ayotte, Warren Marcotte, Trey Sauder and Collin Jennings (2), all scored while Kobe Grant turned aside 37/40 shots he faced in the win.

Virden will be looking to return the favour as both teams are set to close out the 2022-23 regular season tonight at the Centennial Arena. 

Last Game: 6-3 loss to Swan Valley: The Oil Capitals’ hopes at first overall were halted abruptly last night, dropping a 6-3 decision to the Stampeders. The Stampeders scored two in the first, one in the second and three in the third to take down a very good team on the road last night. Both teams have been on fire as of late and something had to give, this time is was Swan Valley who prevailed and secured first overall in the MGEU West Division.
