The Wealth Management Game Day Report vs Virden

IG Wealth Management Game Day Report

Swan Valley Stampeders Regular Season Record: 17-9-1-1. PP: 19.6% (7th) PK: 75% (12th) Rank: 1st in the MGEU West Division, 4th in MJHL

Head Coach: Barry Wolff

Tonight’s Matchup: vs the Oil Capitals: The Stampeders will need a full 60-minute effort if they hope to push their win streak to six games. Something the team hasn’t been able to do since the 2019-20 season. Swan will need to limit their trips to the penalty box and take advantage of home ice early on. The Stampeders had some big news this past week with the return of Owen Harris from the Brandon Wheat Kings. A solid defenceman that brings physicality and helps the back end.

Last Game: 5-4 OT win over Neepawa: The Stampeders took a 4-2 lead into the third period last Saturday, but gave up two goals in the third period to the Titans, who forced overtime. Jakob Jones played hero, ending the game with 37 seconds left in the extra frame, earning two huge points, and pushing their win streak to five games. Kobe Grant stopped 32/36 shots he faced for his 11th win of the year.
