New Country Motel – Post-Game Report

Stampeders fall 7-5 in Wayway, losing streak up to 4 games

The Swan Valley Stampeders travelled to Waywayseecappo tonight in looks to snap the losing skid, but what they did not look out for was their continued struggles of keeping the puck out of their own net.

A first period began with Wayway opening the scoring, but Trace Langan would tie the game off a deflection shot from the point by Darren Hunt who had three points on the night.

The middle frame saw the two teams combine for 8 goals, as Chantyn Michelle-Thompson, Darren Hunt, Jaxon Haley, and Gavin Bartha all scored goals in the middle frame, but the Wolverines were able to claw back and score twice in the late goings of the period, tying it at 5-5.

Wayway would add two more in the third to seal the win.

Next up; The Stampeders will look to get back on track on Friday when the Virden Oil Capitals come to town for a 7 pm puck drop at the SRCA.
