IG Wealth Management – Pre Game Report

Stamps look to stay alive in playoff race in Portage

Stampeders: 17-30-3-1 (5th in West) Power Play % (19.8% 9th in MJHL) Penalty Kill % (68.2% 12th in MJHL)

Terriers: 32-17-1-0 (4th in East) Power Play % (18.3% 10th in MJHL) Penalty Kill % (75.6% 10th in MJHL)

With a short-handed lineup, the Stampeders will look to try and repeat what they did yesterday, battling with the Nighthawks until the very end and falling 3-2.

Trace Langan had the only two goals in the game, and Easton Falls made 48/51 saves. Despite having only 10 forwards, the Stampeders hung in with the best team in the MJHL.

Tonight, they’ll look to try and stay alive in the playoff race tonight in Portage against the Terriers, a team that the Stampeders have had some success against this season, winning two of the three meetings so far this season.

Playoff implications coming into tonight see the Stamps potentially being eliminated if they lose in regulation, whether if the Neepawa Titans win or lose. If the Stampeders win and Neepawa loses in regulation, the Stamps will still be alive going into March.

However, Swan cannot look at the standings and only control what they can, and try to get at least two points this weekend.

Players To Watch
