Smith added his second of the night with 21 seconds left in the second period giving the Terriers a two-goal cushion heading into the third period.
Betcher picked up his eighth of the year, scoring on the power play 4:12 into the third period pulling the stampeders back to within one. Logan Calder sealed the deal with an empty-net goal with nine seconds left and the Terriers doubled up the Stampeders Friday night at Stride Place.
