Stamps Drop Third Straight, Losing 5-2 In OCN

The Stampeders drop their third straight game, losing to the Blizzard 5-2 Wednesday night in OCN.

the Stampeders hit the road Wednesday night, looking to break their recent two game losing streak.

Luke Beerman would open the scoring just 13 seconds into the game. Ryan Butler would pull the Blizzard even on the power play just under four minutes later.  Dylan DiTamaso picked up his first of the year with 54 seconds left in the opening frame and the Blizzard held a 2-1 lead after twenty minutes of play.

Leyson Coleman (Tommy Cardinal, Josh Maucieri) would pull the Stamps’ even at 4:48 of the second, tipping home his third of the year on the power play. OCN scored back-to-back goals, Jaden Pashe (6:27) and Darren Gisti (16:03) and the OCN Blizzard lead 4-2 after forty minutes of play.

Adam Drolet added to the Blizzards lead at 14:55 of the third period, and the Blizzard would skate to a 5-2 win.

With tonight’s loss, the team now sits with a record of 7-3-1, and now sit in fifth place overall in the MJHL.

The Stampeders will return to action Saturday October 26th when the team travels to Virden to face the Oil Capitals. Puck drop is set for 7:30pm.
