The Stampeders are back in action after a three day break to take on the Virden Oil Capitals today in Virden at Tundra Oil & Gas Place for a 2 pm puck drop.

The Stamps are coming off of a huge 5-2 win over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines, playing a full 60 minutes of hockey on their way to the win. The win saw five different goal scorers, as Ethan MacTavish, Karson Connelly, Darren Hunt, Trace Langan, and Riley Fequet all scored, while Easton Falls made 25/27 saves in the win.

One thing to note is the Stampeder power-play and penalty kill. The two special teams categories have taken a huge jump. In the last 3 games, the Stampeders have not allowed a power play goal, and have gone 4/17 on the power play in the last 3 games, which is 23.5%.

Players to Watch:

Stampeders – Easton Falls, Trace Langan, Ben Groome

Oil Capitals – Bryce Bryant, London Hoilett, Colten Worthington

The Stampeders will go with relatively the same lineup as they went with against the Wolverines, this is the last game until the Stampeders Game Night Extravaganza, head to www.stampedershockey.com or contact Danielle. The Stampeders will take a week off and gear up for the Amara’s Amigos Cancer Night game against the Winnipeg Blues on Nov. 8 at 7 pm.
