Stamps Score 6 In The 2nd Period To Down The Bombers

The Stampeders kept their preseason moving forward Wednesday night, traveling north to play the Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL).

The Stamps found themselves down 3-0 after 20 minutes of play and were outshot 11-6 on the road, the first time this preseason.

Swan Valley would rebound in a big way, scoring 6 goals in the middle frame and outshot their opponent 19-6. Stampeders goals by Parker Johnson (2), Trevor Schroder (2), Frazer Dodd, and Jaimie Valentino.

Scoring would dry up in the 3rd and final frame tonight, as the Stampeders would skate to a 6-3 win, and now sit with a record of 2-1 in preseason action.

The two teams will finish off a home-and-home tomorrow (Thursday Sept 5) in Swan River. Puck drop is 7:30pm at the Centennial Arena.
