Swan Valley Defeats Waywayseecappo 5-1 Monday Night in Pre-Season Action

The Swan Valley Stampeders travelled south to Russell Monday evening for a preseason game against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

Monday nights game was moved to Russell due to rink issues at the Waywayseecappo Arena Complex.

The Stampeders started out a little sluggish, but found themselves in a scoreless tie at the end of the first due to the strong goaltending of Bennett Reinhard, who stood tall in net.

The Wolverines  scored the games first goal as Ben Roulette deposited one past Reinhard after several turnovers by the Stampeders beforehand.

It was all Swan Valley after that. Callum Halls tied the game and just a few minutes later, Darius Makse drove the net, giving the Stampeders their first lead of the game.

Swan valley went on to add three more in the third period to defeat the Wolverines 5-1 on the road.

Next action for the Stampeders will be on the road Wednesday night in Dauphin. Puck drop goes at 7:30PM at Credit Union Place.
