The Stampeders Fall 5-0 To The West Division Leaders Friday Night

The Swan Valley Stampeders fell 5-0 to the Dauphin Kings Friday night at Credit Union Place.

The Kings opened the scoring late in the first period after both teams seemed to take some time to warm up to one another. Once they did, the intensity for both teams picked up and it was end to end action. Nick Braun grabbed his seventh of the year at 18:26 of the opening frame, sending his club to the locker room up 1-0 after 20 minutes of play.

It was all Dauphin in the second period scoring three goals in a span of two minutes and fourteen seconds. Luke Morris collected his fifth of the ear at 16:11, Jayden Harris scored his first at 17:01 and Kaden Bryant made it 4-0 with his ninth at 18:25.

Klim Georgiev scored his first 7:26 into the third period and the Dauphin Kings skated to a dominating 5-0 win over a deflated Swan Valley team Friday night in Dauphin.

With tonights loss, the Stampeders how hold a record of 7-9-0-1 and fall behind Virden for third place in the West Division.

Swan Valley will now travel home and regroup for another matchup with the Kings, this time on home ice in front of the electric Swan River crowd.
